Set against a huge reproduction of the largest lake in the Belleville valley, the indoor pool with its balneotherapy jets and cascading falls immerses guests in the heart of Savoie's crystalline waters and lush vegetation.
Soak up the sunshine in the four-person jacuzzi on the outdoor terrace, tucked away from view for complete privacy.
With its therapeutic massage jets and soothing water, the pool offers total relaxation, enhanced by the fresh, woody spruce scents in the sauna and the gentle citrus fragrances in the hammam.
In the relaxation area, the herbal tea room invites you to rejuvenate at the very source of nature by indulging in home-made infusions made from Alpine plants, while enjoying the soothing properties of the pink Himalayan salt stone surroundings.
The solan, a bed of hay
Exclusive to La Bèla Vya Spa at the Relais & Châteaux La Bouitte Hotel in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is the solan steam bath, set on its bed of valley hay.
The space resembles a cot bed, like those from the Savoie of yesteryear. Picture a mattress of freshly cut hay covered by a thick cotton sheet. The curtain closes, the light dims, and it is time to enjoy a steam bath whose vapours release the aromatic and relaxing properties of the hay - a real tribute to pastoral traditions.
The scent of hay, a fragrance reminiscent of childhood, adds a hint of nostalgia to the experience that works to gently soothe the senses.
Useful information & booking
La Bèla Vya Spa is open to guests from outside the hotel.
The pool area is fully accessible from 10.30am to 8pm for La Bouitte Hotel guests, and at the following times for external customers: 10.30am to 12.30pm (€35) - 2pm to 4pm (€42) - 4pm to 6pm (€70).
Open to children from 10.30am to 12.30pm and again from 2pm to 4pm. The area is reserved for adults only from 4pm to 8pm.
Children are only allowed in the pool area under the supervision of an adult. The sauna, hammam and jacuzzi are not recommended for minors.
